Role: Outpatient Therapy Lead/ Clinical Specialist Hand Therapist
Qualifications: BSc. Physiotherapy
Jade qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2002 with a degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Health Sciences Malaga (Spain). After working for 2 years in private practice in Spain, she moved to the UK to progress her career in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. She is a member of the chartered society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and Health& Care Professions Council (HCPC). She has over 14 years experience in both the NHS and Private sector and her most recent role was Specialist Physiotherapist in Hand Therapy at the Hand and Plastics Unit at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital.
She has recently joined the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth’s as the Outpatient Therapies Lead.
Jade has developed specialist knowledge in the following areas:
Specialized assessment and treatment of work related upper limb disorders.
Complex wrist conditions
Wrist and hand Tendinopathies.
Tennis and golfers elbow
Carpal tunnel syndrome (pre and post op)
Wrist and hand fractures.
Post surgical wrist and hand conditions.
Jade holds additional qualifications in Acupuncture and is a member of the Acupuncture Association for Chartered Phsyiothearpists (AACP). She has also completed specialist hand therapy training with The Bristish Association of Hand Therapists ( BAHT).
